Uzbekistan detains suspects in serial killings of women

Uzbek law enforcement agencies arrested two young men suspected of killing at least 14 women in Tashkent and its suburbs, Uzbek Interior Ministry told Trend on Thursday.
As the Interior Ministry representative said, the accused men acted under the guise of taxi drivers. They took away the victim to unpopulated place, where they robbed, raped and killed them. In just a little over one year, the bandits raped and killed 14 women in Tashkent and Tashkent region.
He also said that a woman - mother of one of the young men was arrested, who is charged with sale of the victims' stolen items.
At present, law enforcement agencies continue the investigation.
