Russia's Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development has sent to Kyrgyzstan on Wednesday 150 wheelchairs for disabled children, Deputy Minister Maksim Topilin said, Itar-Tass reported.

"The various wheelchairs are for use indoors, for use outdoors, and some of them are those designed specially for children suffering from cerebral palsy, and those with various sanitary equipment," he said adding that the special aid will be provided for Kyrgyzstan's 50 disabled children.

"In future, Kyrgyzstan will work out a programme to develop its own production of wheelchairs and orthopaedic equipment," Topilin said. "We are ready to cooperate and assist in this direction."

Russia's expenses for this humanitarian aid made 1.6 million roubles.
