Iran's ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Manouchehr Moradi in an interview with AKIpress said that he was surprised that Iran was not included into the list of 44 countries that Kyrgyzstan introduced visa-free regime with, CA-News reported.

"We know that when the Parliament considered this issue, deputies were positive about introduction of visa-free regime with Iran. We expected and still expect certain measures to be taken regarding visa regime with Iran," Moradi said.

Moradi said that 1.5 year ago, Iran proposed elimination of visa regime with Kyrgyzstan.

"Simplification of the movement of citizens, investors, businessmen and tourists of two states is one of the ways of cooperation between countries," Moradi said, adding that this issue is still considered by proper agencies.

The Ambassador expressed hope that Kyrgyzstan will consider this issue attentively. He added that the elimination of visa regime will bring benefits to Kyrgyzstan
