Eight policemen killed in Iraq

Eight policemen were killed in attacks Monday in Iraq's Sunni-dominated al-Anbar province, security officials said, dpa reported.

The eight were killed when gunmen opened fire on two patrols in al-Anbar city, 120 kilometres west of the capital Baghdad.

The attackers then fled, police said.
