In 2019, Gumilev Eurasian National University plans to launch into orbit its first satellite of own construction. The press service of the institution reported the news, citing the words of Rector Yerlan Sadykov who has said so during the annual public reporting meeting on September 30. “Our goal is to manufacture and launch into space our first satellite. It is important that we create it on our own, rather than simply buying it somewhere,” he stressed.



In the near future, Kazakhstan may establish a facility for production of modern amphibious aircraft “Be-103” designed for fire fighting. According to “Aviation Explorer,” the Kazakh side is interested in two types of aircraft: the light amphibious “Be-103” and the heavier model “Be-200ES.” “We talk about both purchases of these aircraft and their joint promotion on the markets of China and other countries in Southeast Asia.


In Uzbekistan, there has been published the draft government decree “On further development and organizations of the system of informing and alerting the population.” Plans are afoot to submit the document for approval of the Cabinet before the end of October 2016. According to the document, at the national, local and regional levels, as well as at individual facilities, automated systems for informing and warning the population will be created in the period until December 31, 2022. They will operate on the basis of an appropriate set of software and hardware.

With that, any aircraft that does not fall under the definition of a model airplane or a toy model is an unmanned aerial vehicle, with all the ensuing consequences.



In Kazakhstan, construction of a bank of low-enriched uranium has begun at the Ulba Metallurgical Plant located in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
