According to a study conducted by the analytical service portal Energyprom.kz, last year the number of subscribers of fixed Internet in Kazakhstan increased to 2.3 million people, or by 10.3 percent. The scope services provided grew by 6.4 percent and amounted to $206.6 billion in monetary terms (8.4 percent accounted for the countryside). In general, 13 people out of 100 inhabitants of the country have access to the stationary Internet (the rate in rural areas is two times lower: 6 out of 100), and 68 people out of 100 have access to mobile Internet.
