In Uzbekistan, the police have identified and eliminated a criminal group, which exported currency in amount of up to $ 4 million per day from the republic. This was reported by a number of local media, which noted that the group consisted of residents of Tashkent and Fergana, who provided services of foreign currency export to entrepreneurs. For this service businessmen and entrepreneurs paid a commission of 1.5 per cent of the amount transferred.



In 2014 a total of 17,863 crimes was committed in Kyrgyzstan, which is slightly less than the result of 2013 (when there were 19,047 crimes). This information was told reporters during a press conference in Bishkek by the Head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Adilbek Botobaev. According to him, 12,864 of them have been solved (in 2013 the figure was 12,790). Thus, the coefficient of detection at the end of last year was 72 percent, which is 5 percent better than the result for the year before last (then 67.1 percent of all crimes were solved).


According to the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, today it’s necessary to hurry up with the adoption of the new Law of the Republic on migration. So, he instructed the government to develop a draft of the document before the end of this year. This happened during the speech of the head of the state in the highest legislative body of the country, when he raised such an important for Tajikistan issue as labor migration. "The law should reflect all the rights of migrant workers, as well as their legal and social protection.


One of landmark trials of leaders and top managers of a number of companies that had previously belonged to the inner circle of eldest daughter of the president of the republic Gulnara Karimova has come to an end in Uzbekistan. Basing on its results, in early January this year, Ferghana Province Criminal Court sentenced 60 defendants in this process to prison terms ranging from 5 to 15 years. Kazakhstan continues the process of legalization of funds and property, which began in September last year.
