The automobile concern “GM Uzbekistan” has temporarily suspended the conclusion of new contracts providing for the acquisition and delivery of cars to customers. According to the press service of the concern, this measure is explained by the fact that the procedure for inventory of vehicle balances is carried out during the period May 29-31, 2017. “After the completion of the inventory process, the delivery of cars will be performed at the prices indicated in the concluded contracts,” the press release reads.

In the territory of Yukorichirchik District (Tashkent Province, Uzbekistan), there will be built and put into operation modern refrigerating chambers with a total storage capacity of 1,000 tons. These low-temperature chambers will use modern storage technologies. In Uzbekistan, there have been approved the main parameters of the project for construction of a high-speed double-track electrified ring railway around Tashkent. Local publications reported this news referring to the relevant presidential decree of Shavkat Mirziyoyev. According to the document, the total cost of the project is approximately $320 million. China has provided Uzbekistan with a grant that envisages the transfer of four large-scale inspection complexes for controlling railway cargo and 10 sets of scanning systems for controlling medium-sized cargoes to the customs service of the republic. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed the decree on establishment of the Consortium for the Support of Domestic Labor in Uzbekistan. The new structure will be created in the form of a limited liability company, with an initial authorized capital of UZS50 billion. Its functions will include the allocation of loans to outworkers and businesses that are customers of home-based products. The loans will be accommodated for the acquisition of modern equipment, machinery, materials and raw materials.

On May 24, the Eurasian Development Bank conducted the primary placement of its bonds in the amount of KZT15 billion in the trade system of KASE (Kazakhstan's Stock Exchange). According to the press service of the EDB, this placement of bank securities in the Kazakh market is the first one in the past three years. This placement aroused great interest on the part of investors, which was confirmed by the volume of applications submitted by the bidders during the auction.
