In Uzbekistan, the 2017-2021 Program for modernization of the emergency medical care system has been approved. It happened in accordance with the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On measures aimed at further improvement of the emergency medical care system,” which was published on the website of the National Legislation Database. For the implementation of this program, there will be allocated funds in the amount of $70.6 million. In particular, this year the car park of the emergency medical care system will be updated with 1,200 units of specialized vehicles.

By the end of 2017, the joint Uzbek-German enterprise MAN Auto-Uzbekistan will organize an enterprise for assembly of buses working on compressed natural gas in Uzbekistan. The vehicles will be used in car parks in the capital of the republic, Tashkent. “The new MAN buses will be environmentally friendly; they will be manufactured at the MAN Auto-Uzbekistan's production site as part of the program for phased transfer of car parks to buses fueled by methane,” a representative of the joint venture reported.

Kyrgyzstan will receive 100 million yuan from the Chinese government (at the current rate, it's about $14.5 million) as part of the gratuitous military assistance to the Kyrgyz army. For the first time in the history of Turkmenistan, the parliament of this Central Asian republic has elected an ombudsman (human rights commissioner).
