In accordance with the decree of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev, the Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics will be created under the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. The new structure will be formed on the basis of the already existing Center of Genomics and Bioinformatics. According to experts, this decision will make it possible to improve research in biotechnology and genomic breeding of wheat, potatoes, cotton and grapes. The Kyrgyz government has sent an official letter to the Turkish side with the requirement for pecuniary damage, which was caused by the crash of the Boeing-747 in the settlement of Dachi SU on January 16, 2017.
