Turkmenistan has started filling the major pipeline “East – West” with natural gas. In the very near future, the gas will be delivered to consumers in Balkan and Ahal provinces of the country. To date, the 150-kilometer section “Shatlyk – Tejan – Kaka” has successfully passed the hydraulic tests. According to representatives of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan, the high reliability of the pipeline was also confirmed at its western section “Gumdag – Belek.”

The Asian Development Bank has updated the program for providing financial assistance to Tajikistan in the period 2017-2019. In 2016, Tajikistan's state budget received TJS407 million (about $52 million at the official rate) less revenue than in 2015. Deputy head of the Customs Service under the Government of the Republic Hurshed Karimzod reported this information during the recent press conference in Dushanbe. According to him, these losses amounted to 9.6 percent and were associated with the shortfall of customs payments planned for 2016.

 

In total, TJS3.8 billion were collected in the budget, although the target figure was $4.2 billion (about $537.7 dollars).
