Within two days of the forum's work (June 15-16), discussions were held regarding the current trends in the development of the world economy and the strengthening of global cooperation.


In July 2017, the Shymkent oil refinery (Kazakhstan) will start producing high-octane grades of gasoline. According to the report, the Shymkent refinery will soon complete the first stage of modernization and reconstruction of the enterprise. Minister of National Economy Timur Suleimenov reported this information on June 13, while delivering a speech at the government meeting. “The statistical information for the five months of 2017 has been released. The dynamics of the GDP growth rate has been quite positive. In particular, the growth was 4.1 percent as compared to the same period of 2016,” the minister said. In his words, the production industry demonstrated the most dynamic growth rate (7.8 percent) during the reporting period.
