Serious attention was paid to the consolidation and further development of the financial infrastructure. When in 1996 Osama bin Laden moved to Afghanistan, he left in Sudan a number of successful organizations and corporations that constituted (together with other companies dispersed across the whole world) the financial foundation of Al-Qaeda. These companies employed among other personnel the veterans of the Afghan War.

Israel has always accounted for all its military conflicts with Arabian countries by saying that it was a required for national security. It was also the case during the war with Lebanon in 1982. The relations between the greatest countries of the Middle East, traditional rivals for the leading role in the region — Turkey and Iran — go back into centuries.
As we know the beginning of serious political and economic changes in the region was the period of the XV–XVI centuries. Osama bin Laden’s address to the American people mentioned in the world mass media in September 2009 is very remarkable. What is interesting in this address is its content and style — different from all bin Laden’s previous video and radio speeches. Bin Laden’s September address attracts attention not because it also describes the events of September 11, 2001 and later, but because the form of presentation is different from what we used to hear from bin Laden.

Iran’s and Pakistan’s resolute actions targeted at the eradication of drug traffic resulted in that since 1979 international drug traffic started to develop in the territory of Afghanistan, and the following decades it made up for the opium production and then exceeded the former production indices.
