Today, more and more focal points of instability and armed conflicts emerge in different parts of the world. The struggle for access to natural resources is intensifying, while the geography of the activities of international terrorist organizations is expanding.



They say that there is a country in the world where the most important state decisions are made by tossing a coin. This explanation is the only possible one for those who try to understand the processes occurring today in Uzbekistan and simultaneously to pacify the protests in their consciousness.


But citizens are satisfied with the state, and they even respect their authoritarian president for such “objectivity and impartiality” of his solutions. In this wonderful country, they are afraid of only one thing: choosing a new governor.

Amidst the background of events in Syria, the problems of Central Asia have been pushed away from the foreground. While Russia is trying to organize an effective collective defense together with its Central Asian allies in the CSTO, the United States and other NATO member states also intend to develop military and military-technical cooperation with the Central Asian region.
