In 2015, migrants' remittances to Tajikistan from Russia decreased by more than 33 percent in dollar terms. Head of the National Bank Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda made this statement, adding that the volume of transfers in Russian rubles did even increase slightly – by about 3 percent. “With that, about 95 percent of the total amount of money transferred to Tajikistan came from Russia,” the head of the National Bank said. However, he refused to specify how much all the remittances to Tajikistan amounted to in 2015.
