US President Barack Obama has congratulated Iraq, saying the formation of the new government means a significant historic moment has just passed.
With the Iraqi parliament endorsing the new government, Mr Obama said the move had shown a rejection of extremists who wanted to foment sectarian division.
The second round of political consultations between Foreign Affairs Ministries of Uzbekistan and Malaysia were held in Kuala-Lumpur on 20 December. During event, the Uzbek side held negotiations with Malaysian side led by Secretary-General of Malaysia Foreign Ministry Mohd Radzi Abdul Rahman, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry’s press service said.
On December 20, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Roza Otunbaeva signed the decree in accordance to which the interim government of the republic resigned.
At the same time, the new government members were appointed by the number of the presidential decrees.

Ezgulik human rights organization directed the report to Shigeo Katsu, vice-Presdient of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia, where it analyzed the World Bank project on Rural Enterprise Support, phase 2 (RESP-2). In accordance with this project, the World Bank allocates $67.96 million to Uzbekistan for support of agriculture.
RESP-2 is the continuation of RESP-1 project that was supported by the World Bank in 2001-2008. According to the project, RESP-2 is implemented since the beginning of 2010 through 2015 and must cover 7 oblasts and 7 districts of Uzbekistan.
In 2011-2015 Uzbekistan is planning to start its own production of smart-cards and payment terminals, said Gazeta.uz with the reference to presidential decree, dated November 26, 2010.
According to the document, one of the Uzeltehsanoat (Uzeltehprom) association enterprises is planning to start the production of smart cards – at least 500 thousand items with ensuring the localization, based on local raw material, as well as to start the production of POS terminals and peripheral equipment.
